Terms of service

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Hamsterbrain's Trading Post ("we", "us", "our"). By browsing or buying from hamsterbrainstradingpost.com you agree to these terms, along with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to buy from us.
3. About the cards we sell
- Singles are pre-owned collectibles. Unless a listing says otherwise, assume a card has been played with. We grade every card by hand and describe its condition as accurately as we can, but grading involves judgement and reasonable people sometimes disagree. If you think we've called one wrong, tell us — see our Refund Policy.
- Product images. Some listings use a catalogue image of that printing rather than a photograph of the exact card. Where a listing says the photo is of the actual card, it is.
- Every card we sell is genuine. We do not knowingly stock counterfeits, proxies or altered cards unless a listing says so explicitly. If you believe you've received a counterfeit, contact us immediately and we will refund you in full.
4. Pricing and availability
Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice; the price you pay is the price shown when you complete checkout.
We sell the same stock across several marketplaces at once. Our inventory syncs continuously, but a card can occasionally sell on another channel moments before your order lands. If that happens we'll contact you and refund that card in full. We're sorry when it does — it's the honest cost of listing one physical collection in more than one place.
We may correct obvious pricing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund.
5. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch it. We may refuse or cancel any order, including where a card is unavailable, a price was clearly wrong, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel, you get a full refund.
6. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
7. Intellectual property and trademarks
Hamsterbrain's Trading Post is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK Inc., Konami, Bandai, or any other game publisher.
Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game and all associated card names, set names, artwork, logos and symbols are the property of their respective owners. They appear here to identify the products we sell, which is what trademarks are for. We claim no ownership over any of them.
Our own site design, written content, photographs and tools are ours, and you may not copy or reproduce them commercially without permission.
8. Our deck-building tools
We offer free tools — the deck browser, deck check, combo finder and similar — built from publicly available and licensed card data. They're provided as they are, for interest and convenience. Card data, decklists, prices and legality information can be incomplete or out of date, and we make no promise of accuracy. Don't rely on them for tournament legality; check the official rules.
9. Accounts
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under it. Tell us if you think it's been compromised.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Our site and its contents are provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated here.
Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including the speculative future value of a card.
Nothing here removes any right you have under law that cannot be excluded.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and any dispute goes to the courts of that state.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time of your order is the one that applies to it.
